Has Anyone Ever Had A Seperated Shoulder?

has anyone had one?
i'm very well schooled in the art of putting a (left) dislocated shouder back in

i'm starting to wonder about the other one...
this has been going on for weeks..
always hurts..tugging on my neck and rear of my head..
some days are better than others
i've heard other guys i played hockey with say they would rather dislocate it than seperate it
there's nothing you can do about a seperation...
i've been to dr mario the chiopractor..
its not my back everything is good ...

anyone been there done that?

...zap!

Been there done that. try getting a deep tissue massage in that area. It will help big time. maybe your rotator cuff is a problem??

when it pops out of the socket its dislocated

when the muscle tears off the bone thats seperated

dislocated the left one dozens of times
no big deal now

Dislocated mine playing basketball years ago. Went up for a ball with my left arm...It was a hard throw and it pushed my arm back until it popped and keep going. Somehow it went back in place when I hit the ground. Man that hurt almost as bad as when I stepped on a pick one time. Shoulder hasn't been the same since. I have to be careful

Massage therapist, nice blond, dark room, candles, hot oil, soft music and a nice rub down, who knows maybe even a happy ending... serious try it they work wonders... just had one 2 weeks ago...

Junior year of high school soccer -- regional finals -- I popped mine out while playing GK... Fortunately, it was very brief and popped back in on it's own. Luckily, one of our player's dads had some affiliation with the local medical center and thus, I had a bit of 'free' treatment... basically, that involved a light muscle relaxer script and several trips to the whirlpool...

That was cake though compared to tearing three muscles in my back my senior year... that still haunts me to this day.

Best of luck getting through your situation. Honestly, if I were in your shoes, I'd really consider talking to a doctor first -- especially if your insurance will cover a situation like this. I think he/she will point you in the direction that may benefit you the most...

When the arm comes out of hte socket and goes back in on its own i was told its a sublexation from my surgeon. But they called my shouldera separated shoulder/dislocated shoulder. I had to have the hospital put it back in.

Playing linebacker, went to sack the quarter back when he juked me and i reached out with my left arm while in the air to grab him and out she came. It was out, with no pain medicine for just over 3 hours. Long story, but if anyone cares to hear about it ill share, its a good story. I had previously sublexated it in a tackle drill a year before. It was out for a few minutes until i stood up and went back in. I had to have surgery on it because the muscle tissue was tore. Let me tell you, that hurt way worse than it did when it came out. Therapy was hell. I was lucky to get by having it done arthoscopicaly so i healed faster.

My days of football were done and i soon got my first truck and worked to pay for it. So it worked out good. But i have problems with my other shoulder coming out when i play a pick up game of basketball of if im horseing around. It sucks, im only 20.

dislocated my right shoulder pulling a moose (dead) out of a river. Suffered for 3 years with a partial dislocation. The dr told me it was a ligature tear and it would heal itself, eventually. Damned quaks. My chiropractor was working on my back and wanted me to lay on my side with my hand under my head. No can do, I sez. She checks out the shoulder, gets me in this half-nelson neck-lock shoulder twist thinggy. POP. There, now all better.
My left shoulder torn tendons (crappy foreward/reverse shifter in Cat992 Loader) since last summer, but physio is working it out. Went last week, got lots better, went last Monday, more better. Heat and deep massage is great. At least I can now wipe my own asch.

Yes...

Separated left shoulder putting a viscious hit on a running back trying to shimmy up my sideline. Still can't sleep on Left side comfortably today, after 18-20 years.

Dislocated right shoulder after pickign up a fumble, and rumbling towards the end zone. I ran over the guy, but not before his helmet snuck under my shoulder pad, and dislocated my shoulder. I fell over him, didn't score, and I was hurt so bad, I couldn't even get my shoulder pads off.

Thankfully, it popped back in place on it's own, and I was in a sling for a week after that- then, right back to knocking the schidt out of people, and getting broken up in the process...
