Supercross San Diego

Anybody make it to Supercross San Diego?

I went for the first time in about 20 years and had a blast. Haven't been following motocross like I used to when I rode, but man, James Stewart put on a heck of a show.

Any SUpercross fans in the house?

Huge fan here. I've been watching since the days of Jeff Ward, David Bailey, Jeff Stanton, Rick Johnson.

I remember the crash that put David Bailey in the chairand even better remember the crash that almost put Doug Henrey in a chair.

I followed "Showtime" through his entire carreer.

I haven't made it to a live Supercross, but we used to go to Red Bud every year for the nats. TV does no justice to the parking lot tripple at Red Bud better known as "Larocos leap"

I was wathcing big time back then too. I spent many birthdays at the Coliseum in LA watching those guys. I'm now ready to get some bikes again (last bike a 1984 CR250, stolen in 1988) and introduce my kids to riding. Probably go Quads to spare them the broken bones I endured.

SUpercross is awesome though, lot a fun to watch and the riders are just exciting as before.

Anybody know what time it is on TV today?

It was on at 11:00 AM central time today so you most likely missed it. As I was replying the first time it actually reminded me that it was on so I missed half of it.

My last bike was a 1990 KX250. I want to introduce my kids to them as well but I won't go the quad route. I had a 250R Suzuki Quadracer that gave me more injuries than bikes ever did. Never had any broken bones myself but a lot of knee and shoulder injuries from the quad. They just don't fly as good as a bike does and the landings are not forgiving at all.

I am a big fan of SX and MX and have been since the mid '70s when I started riding. I listen to the webcast and watch the televised coverage every week.

Stewart rode a very smart and fast race, and deserved to win. He was making time on Ricky every lap in the spot where he eventually made the pass.

RC is my favorite rider. Would love to see him win the title again.

I hope McGrath will race a few more next year.

I also think I am in love with the 30 Second Girl.

I was watching a couple of weeks ago when they showed her wiggling her *** and out of instinct I said "I'm in love". Lets just say my wife usually isn't in the same room, and this time she didn't last very long either.

I've been a fan since 1980, but havn't raced since 1986. I'll be at the Ga Dome also. It will be our first live event. My son loves RC and we had to see him race at least once live before he retires.

Big fan here.....Bubba had that planned after the first few laps i think. Damn good race. I always want to go to Red Bud for the Nationals on the 4th, but end up not going. Now my buddy's getting married that weekend so I'll probably miss it again.

I gotta give it to Bubba, he rode a very smart race. A big improvement over the meltdown he had last week.

Stewart rode that race like he has been out there for years. If he rides like that the rest of the year RC is going down. I want to see Bubba take it all. I bleed green so I always have to root for whoever is on it.

I have to admit that I was never much of an RC fan but I really have to give him credit the last couple of years for pure sportsmanship. The guy has really become a class act, and that is the only reason why I like to see him keep winning.

I would have to say that I have always been a fan of Mike Larocco from even back in the late 80's but these days he earns my respect more every year. The rest of the sissys keep retiring and he keeps on placing top five consistantly.

Have you ever actually made it to Red Bud or just always wanted to go. If you haven't been there you have to go!!! A stadium triple has nothing on Larocco's leap. That jump is insane in race conditions. One year I was standing about 20' away from the landing when Mike Kedrowski cased it. I was amazed that he kept on riding. It sounded like the frame broke in half. I think he was riding for Honda of Troy that year. It was the years MC rode Suzuki (96 or 97?)

Been a fan for about 12 years now. My 2 boys, wife and me took up dirt riding back then. We all had bikes, trailer and motorhome. We first met RC when he was riding 80s. He was tripling the jumps that many 125 riders would only double. We also liked riding the enduro trails. I just wish they'd bring Supercross to the Philly area. I like all the dirt bike events, Supercross, Motocross, ISDE, enduros, hair scrambles, cross country.....
