Friend is about to go WAY overboard on lift.

One of my friends has a '95 F-350 PowerStroke supercrew & long bed. The thing is a LONG truck. It currently has around a 4" suspension lift & 2" body lift to clear a set of 37" swampers. He can still take it in parking garages, it's still useful as a truck and it's pretty damn good in the mud. After having two rear swampers come apart @ 80 mph he's had to have both sides of the bed replaced. From playing in the woods the truck is beat up pretty bad.

He came into work this morning & said, "My truck is finally going to grow up!" It turns out he's having something like 2.5 ton axles installed, 20" rims a CRAZY high lift... all to clear I think he said 52" Michelin's or something like that. Then he's talking about taking the truck down to the DMV, having it reclassified & all this BS. I think he said it's all going to cost around $5,750.

All I can think to myself is, "WHY?!"

Hey we all have that deal in us no one else understands, is he overcompensating for something. Not that you really should look into that just saying.

Humm... a brief summary of the individual: 28, single, lives with a girl he hates, smokes pot, makes $18 per hour but is always broke. Have the money? No, he ran to the bank yesterday & took out a loan to pay for it.

Don't get me wrong, I think a monster truck is nice & all, but for his DAILY DRIVER?! I can't wait to see & ride in it though

Maybe he's going to try to stop smoking pot and just drive around legally high all the time?

According to my friend it won't be installed for about another month. I guess the guy has two trucks ahead of his.

Hopefully this lift will be a lot better than his current one. The hack-job crack head who did it lifted it by putting about 10 superduty leaf springs under it. There is absolutely NO give in the suspension. It feels like the complete suspension is welded together!

Damn, I make 20 an hour and cant afford to lift mine @ all

Oh BTW that price must not cover the wheels and tires. Cause I have to think 52" tires are quite a penny
