Hawks Have 12th Man- Steelers Have 6 Refs
First off, I don't want to take anything away from you Steeler fans, congrats on a well deserved win. However, anyone who can honestly say the refs had no bearing on the outcome of this game is crazy. It's funny how all Seattle's big plays were called back. I especially liked the "holding" call in the 4th quarter that took the Hawks from 1st and Goal to 3rd and 25.

That was a little questionable, at best.
If that's holding, then what about the other 60 snaps?
I hate it when the Refs determine the outcome, of any game.
Beaten by a 'trick play' and notice Holmgren never came out to congratulate Cowher.....
I wonder why?

Steelers do deserve the win, but they did seem to get a huge % of the calls in their favor.
My favorite call was that 15 yard penalty on Hasselback for blocking below the waste because he was trying to tackle a guy and save a TD.
Or Big Ben's TD run. I guess you could not really see where the ball was when he got hit, so there was no 'indisputable evidence'.
I'm a little annoyed because the Darrel Jackson 'push off' that erased the first TD cost me $150 in the office pool.

I wont say the Seahawks were robbed but it was dang close...
holding calls, questionable offensive pass interference to take away T-down...refs were definitely leaning to Pittsburgh's side.
Seahawks made some horrible calls at the end of each half and just never scored even when they were chewing up the Pitts D.
Oh well at least the AFC North has the Super Bowl Champs again.

Dirt Bike,
My favorite was definitely Hasselbeck's penalty for a "block below the knees." Call me crazy, but isn't that how everyone in the NFL tackles these days? Absolutely rediculous. In any case, I suppose the Steelers deserve to get some calls in their favor after the Indianapolis game.

I think the refs had something going on outside the game. I couldn't believe the spot of the ball when Hassleback ran forward for the first down in the first quarter. The ref spotted the ball about 2-3 feet back from where it should of been, and it was a foot shy of the first down. I thought Holmgren should of challenged the spot. The thing that got me was the ref hauled *** in, obviously way behind where the ball should of been spotted. It was as if he had the spot marked in his head where it needs to be to make sure it would be 4th down.
Regardless, Pittsburg started off slow and picked it up. Seattle fell apart. It takes those actions that rise above the bad calls to win a game. Seattle fell apart at the end of the first half, and at the end of the game with terrible play clock management. Oh well, time to start focusing on NASCAR and the Olympics!
