Internet Nerds...Figure this one out for me please :D

Well for the past few weeks this site has been slower than dial-up. We have highspeed DSL and my computer is set up on wireless since we have 3 computers in the house. I have been on each computer and the site is still slooow. Any other site and its lightning fast. What is the deal? Does it have to do with my picture gallery or what? When i go to someone elses house and log in the site is fast as normal. Its just on our computers. Any help would be greatful because its getting really annoying waiting over 5 minutes for a page to load. Thanks ahead!

Have you deleted your cookies and temporary files?

After that if it's still slow reboot.

What your research failed to capture, and that is by design, is the CIA and FBI taps into your computer. They are monitoring everything you do so be careful of them **** sites that state “our girls are of legal age”…

You might have some adware which is tying up your computer by tracking what you're looking at. The more programs you have running, the slower you'll get. The adware might be tracking specific sites, like this one. You might want to go to www.lavasoft.com and download their free Adaware software. I use this regularly and it really works well. I also use spybot search and destroy, which also looks for worms, spyware, and adware. It's also free: http://www.spybot.info/en/spybotsd/index.html . I use these two along with my Norton's anti-virus. I find one will pick up things the other missed.
Good luck.

TTKU,
What ad blockers do you have running? For a while my ad blockers were hanging up on the ads here on this site. Idunno which ones, I think it was the Google ads. I finally added enough prefixes to the definitions that it finally started working normally again, blocking the ad instead of hanging up.

Upgrade your version of IE.

Power your router down and unplug for 30 seconds (you must unplug to clear memory) from wall then replug power up and see what you get.

The other thing you can to isolate is to straight plug to your router ( if all 3 of your pcs are wireless) and see if you get a upgrade in speed.

If all else fails call your DSL and have them run a test or trace.

If you're on Cable make sure some ******* in the neighboorhood hasn't degraded your signal down.

Is there a problem with any other sites?

Is your friend on the same DSL service?

Did you try using firefox? www.getfirefox.com

Like posted above, shut everything (including dsl) off and reboot it after a couple minutes. Then try downloading Firefox and see if it helps. That might tell you if it's a hadware or software issue. Turn off any virus scanners and or firewall and see if that changes anything also.
