Why Is It?????

We had our falcon club meeting this evening..

at what i thought was a real nice place
(i'm not at liberty to name places)
was about a hr ride
clean
everything just right
place is big and fairly full
we had our own conference room
there was 21 of us members there

usual menu with specials
fair prices

but why is it whoever is in charge of the kitchen not get the orders straight?

the staff wrote each order in front of you ..and read it back

but come din din..chaos
nothing was correct pretty much
and if you had the prime rib..well that was a crap shoot.. cold.. undercooked to spec..
probably half of us did..me included

and more than half was just unedable..and i usually just eat it anyway
not tonite..and i was'nt the only one
mrs zaps chicken was..bland at best
mashed potatoes??...right...they came in a box
the salad bar..well its a salad bar...nuf said

this place has been there forever

but next time..

i'm skipping dinner

Restaraunt staff probably had a discussion that ended up with:

"They drive Falcons-they probably don't care, and won't tip anyway!"

I dont eat out often and when I do it is at subway because you see them prepare your sandwich. I just dont trust other people to prepare my food. I've watched the tv specials where it shows people spitting in the food and doing all kinds of things so I try not to eat out even if it is at a rather nice place. You guys should all get together and BBQ so you know the food is fully cooked and it is good food

Thumbs down

I picked-up some sandwiches from Arby's the other night for a quick dinner for my wife and me. While I was waiting at the counter, I was watching the guy slicing the beef. He had a plastic glove on one hand and nothing on the other hand...and of course he was touching the meat with both hands. I took the meal home, we ate, and the next morning we both had the trotts. That was three days ago, and my gut still doesn't feel 100 percent.

There's a Gold Star Chili place near my store (a Cincinnati thing, for those of you that don't know). While sitting at the counter, I was watching the cook preparing orders. When someone would come to the drive-through window, he'd take their money and then go back to putting meals together. He didn't have any gloves and after touching the money, he'd dip his hands into the shredded cheeze and open hot dog buns with them. I stopped eating there.

Sometimes I wish I worked for the Board Of Health.

My sister was telling me that she went to the local BK for lunch with her husband. When they got back to the table they realized that they had forgot something. She went up to the counter and there was a guy in front of her with a whopper sandwich he was taking back up because they put something on it he didn't want. The wrapper was open and the guy was showing her the sandwich. The girl behind the counter got the guy a new sandwich and wrapped the one he brought back up and put it back in the bin to sell to someone else!

A few years ago we got take out from the same place and when we got home my wife took the top bun off her burger and there was a bite out of the hamburger patty.

Hardly anyone local eats at that place, but it is right off the Interstate so they survive.

I had that happen at Sonic a few years ago. It was a Hickory Smoke Burger. So I kept it in the foil bag to keep from getting bar B Q sauce in the vehicle. After I'd ate 1/2 I go to turn it and there was a bite out of the other end. I took it in and the manager laughed, all but called me a liar, made a big joke out of it and gave me a coupon for the next visit. "Same coupon that they put in the newspaper each week." I didn't eat there for a couple of years after that.
