Baseball Fans and the WBC

So, who do you think will win the WBC? I myself would love for the US to take it all, but if I had to pick(which I do) I think the DR will win it all. But, I'm still pulling for the US. What about you?

The DR team seems stonger overall but the US bullpen looks pretty good. Should be interesting.

I honestly think that Cuba is going to be the team to beat.....they don't have many "names".....but they have been cleaning up on the international scene for years (hence the fuss about the U.S. possibly not letting them play due to sanctions).....

Remember this... The Cuban team has used aluminum bats up until very recently. Their power numbers have dropped as of late so don't give them too much credit. When they match up against REAL MLB pitching... then we can give them some credit. Also after all of the debate, the Cuban team might not even show up... CUBA MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT SHOW

I personally am rooting for the USA and DR teams. Can't wait to watch it.

This is where I could actually get into baseball again. These might be a lot of the same clowns getting overpaid and still bitching about it in MLB but now they are playing on a broader stage for something other than their own fat paychecks and that makes the WBC a lot more palatable to me. I think it also adds excitement to the games. JMHO. I have always been a baseball fan but I loath and despise MLB.

im gonna sit back and pray that the good ol usa team gets there over paid, pampered rears handed to them..

I see now barry bonds is not gonna play because of risk of getting hurt, he feels that going for hank arrons record is more important than playing for The USA team? Hummmm Once again self centered.

I look for many more of the big names to drop out as the day gets close, so it wont be "there fault" if we get beat by players that do not make the big$$$$$$$

I remember the strikes, and it still pi$$es me off.

Personally, college baseball and minor league ball is the purest form of the game. I love watching the MLB game because it is beautiful in every other facet. What dissappoints me is that it is such a big money business, it has lost it's luster. If you have more money, spend it and become a contender, most of the time.

Not taking anything away from Little League baseball, which is a blast to watch every year, I just feel that these guys in the middle of their playing careers play the game the way it was intended.

Just an opinion...

Not that there are not a lot of guys on team USA who fit the bill including scumbag rat fink Barry Bonds but there are more than a few pampered over paid guys on some of the other teams as well.

CANADA WINS!!!! BEAT THE U.S. 8-6!!!

If Mexico manages to beat Canada when they play, the U.S. is out no matter what they do.

Who'd a thunk it.

regards
