No big plans, probably some work around the house and clean up the truck. Went to a funeral yesterday out in West Texas. Caliche roads makes for a lot of dust.

I sure did want to buy one, but then I thought how good my truck is running and I just did not want to mess it up. Besides, if I had that thing I woulld be obligated to go WOT a lot more and that would just tear my truck up and cost more gas. I drove it about 350 miles yesterday, it will really eat the miles and handles very well.

I love mine! I've got my WOT maxed and still get better gas mileage than stock.

Had to rescue the wife today. She woke me up out of a dream involving Gwen Stefani, Lisa Loeb, and a bottle of baby oil, to tell me that her tire blew-out on the way to work! She was stranded at a Chili's restaurant and needed me to come take care of her problem!

So I threw on some beater jeans, rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, threw the floor jack, jack stands, and a torque wrench into the car, and headed off to play the "Knight In Shining Armor"!

I got there, carted her off down the road to work, and then went back to tend to the Escape. As soon as I got the tire off, I saw that she had run over a 3/8" diameter piece of metal tubing that had pierced the tire and let all the air out of it in about 15 seconds.

I took the tire down to Discount Tire where they told me the hole was too big to repair, so my $5.00 plug turned into a $100.00 tire!

I swear, there is more crap laying around on the highways down here in Houston than anywhere else I have ever been! If you can get 20 miles down the interstate without hitting nails, pieces of aluminum ladders that have blown off a workman's truck, or other odd debris, it's a freakin' miracle!

Maybe we need to start a "Which Oil Thread" to spice things up a bit?
