I can't believe this

Look what I came across on ebay.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FOOSE...ayphotohosting

This car was on overhaulin' and is now for auction by the owner. I can'
t believe they would try to make a profit off of all the hard work and time it took, when it was essentially a gift. I am not sure if her husband paid for it or what but if they (foose and co.) did this free of charge to the recipient, I would be heated.

I "think" that's the guy that's been all over the Stang boards... He's quite the character, and scammer I guess... Been banned from at least one board...

Its the "Snaked 307" car or something like that. Hopefully it will get back to the show and teach them a lesson about thier screening process. Come on, an 05 mustang on "Overhaulin". One word describes this situation = GREED

You can Foose up my Stang anytime, and I promise I won't sell it...

The husband on that episode was a real tool. He freaked half way through the build because they painted those graphics on the car. He was yelling and screaming because his wife "didn't like stripes" and he wanted the car left plain black. What a jerk, I think the show should have some clause in it about giving Foose or the show the right to buy the car at X number of dollars if it is sold within so many years.

I'll second that, and offer my right one if he'll do mine. That way he'll have a complete set, and we'll just be slightly off balance.

That pisses me off, I hope he doesnt get anything for it.

I've got a trans-am that I've had since I was 18. Was my 18th Bday present from my grandpa. I had wanted one since I was 8 years old. Was/IS my dream car. I dont want chip to touch it becasue, One; I want to do it all. Two; I want it to be as close to orginal restore as possiable with non to little custom work on this one.
But these are the cars they should find, the ones that the owner holds near and dear. The one that he has already held onto when it wasn't in any good condition but has dreams of fixing it up. The ones that he has turned down generous offers becasue it isn't enough to replace the sentimental value.

Dont get me wrong, I love my truck, but I do not have the same feelings for it as I do the TA. I could sell the truck for a fair price if it was offered and it would thrll me if Chip "Foosed it" for me. But it could be bought still even if Chip did "Foose it". I'm just not as attached and dont think you can be as attached to a new car like you can an old fantasy/highschool sweet heart.

I know what you mean, and feel the same way about my Belvedere. My friends always kid me about have it Overhauled, and I too wouldn't want it. I want to do the work myself...

and if someone were to make the right offer (pay it off) I wouldn't mind parting with the Stang, but the Belvedere is a different story...

I'm not 100% sure, but I had it explained to me this way...

Foose doesnt do the work "free of charge"
They charge their full amount, and the TV show "Overhaulin'" pays the tab, which is really paid for by advertisers.

This is all business for profit (not that there's anything wrong with that), but I don't think anyone here is doing all this work for "free".

I agree with you guys, I'd give my nuts to have them do my truck in a heartbeat, and I'd keep it for life, like Joe Dirt says "DANG!

I would imagine they must invoice about 50k for each vehicle they do, if not more.
