Well, I just read the US Treasury Dept will allow Cuba to play in the World Baseball Classic.

I don't think we had any business telling them NO the first time anyway.

just my 0.02.....

well there are finacial sanctions on Cuba via the US.....and teams from other countries would be allowed to "profit" from the ticket sales and such.....thus violating the sanctions....

....and to clarify.....they were always going to be allowed to compete......but the International Baseball Association (whatever they are called) would not "approve" the event without them being able to advance completely.......

I totally agree. I always knew WHY they were not going to be allowed to compete, but I just think it's a game that everyone enjoys and we\whoever should keep their nose's out of it and let the teams play.

again, just my 0.02

by the way, I imagine the money that Cuban Players make in the US(Orlando Hernandez, Jose Contreras, Jose Canseco....etc) does go back to Cuba to support their familes.......some how.

Depends on how much a loser you are. I have two cubans on my computer desk at home.
