Good hotel in Daytona Beach

A buddy and I are planning to go to the Daytona 500 next month (Feb. 19th). I was wondering if someone here could make some suggestions on hotels.

Thanks in advance and I'll be sure to take many pics!

I have been to two hotels in Daytona before for the National High School Drill Team Championships. I forgot the names of the hotels but I'll find out for you. They were pretty good. If you have money to spend you can go to the Hilton Hotel.

To be honest with you....you'll be lucky if you can find a hotel within 100 miles of Daytona that week. All the hotels and motels are usually booked a year in advance for big events like that.

Good Luck

Yeah, if you cant't find one in Daytona, look in Jacksonville. It's only about an 1 1/2- 2 hr drive, but that beats not going.

yup, you better see if you can find a camper shell for the back of your pickup. Good luck finding a motel at this late of a date.

I don't know.....do you think anyone else ever heard of this race?

The day after the race, the next years race and hotels are sold out.

Are you buying tickets from a broker?

If so, I'm sure he can sell you a package deal including the hotel.

I hope you have lot's of cash.

How much are you willing to spend? My parents live within ten miles of the speedway.

As for tickets, those are already taken care of. My buddys dad hosts a sports talk show here in AZ so we have full access media passes as well as seats in the stands. He is also friends with one of the mechanics that works on Elliott Sadler's car and he has a call in to their travel secretary to see if there is an extra room that she can get her hands on. I'm not saying its going to happen but we have our fingers crossed.

So the only costs that we will have is airfare, hotel, transportations costs, and food/drink.
