Chocolate covered New Orleans....

Mayor Nagin must have missed his 15min that he was allowed in the national spotlight.......

I find it fairly entertaining that Americans can elect people like this to be their leaders......

Complete Story

My thought exactly....how do people like this get elected....

Bighersh Jan 18, 2006 09:41 AM

Yeah... He's a farking idiot...

Just think; before he became mayor; he was a cable company executive (Or CEO; I forget)...

How did one with such a loose tingue rise to either level?

He won by getting 90% of the "white" vote but less than 50% of the "black" vote... The scuttlebutt is, he's trying to gain the trust of blacks, who view(ed) him as catering to white businessmen.

What an idiot he is.

Imagine the national outcry there would be if Nagin were a white Republican and he said something similar. He would be forced out of office for sure.

Why is racism acceptable when it's a black person spewing it? Idiots like this are a disgrace to the city and to the people who elected him.

a black mayor in a predominantly black community.

he made these statements as municipal elections are coming up and it seems that its mostly the white people that are moving back (as their homes were not in the flood areas)

I saw the stories earlier but didn't want to start a thread on it due to the content. I did see another story this morning where he apologized and said that he should not have been so insensitive. I would think that as a Mayor of a city that has seen such turmoil and basically wiped out over that last year or so, he would be doing whatever he could to get everyone from every race to come back and rebuild New Orleans to be a better city than before.

I think he really hurt himself for any future reelections and other offices in the city government

In his apology, he said it was a bad "acronym." Maybe he needs to go back to grammar school to learn the definition of an acronym. Or, maybe we need to come up with some (PG-13) acronyms for CHOCOLATE. :)

New Orleans (and much of the State of Louisiana, for that matter) is such a f**ked-up mess that it literally pains me to think about how much money we're going to pour into that he11-hole.....

Chocolate New Orleans?

Sounds like dessert in a fancy restaraunt...maybe something with cherries on top and a nice sauce dripping off the side...

How true Vader. Was reading in the local paper yesterday about our local drought. They said this will be an el-nino year hence even less rain but more active hurricane season than last year!
