It's alright, your outside of my 1500 mile comfort zone. If you lived in the midwest/north east I'd be concerned.

 

I have been here for 3 years.....but to clarify things......we DO NOT offer tech support......but our tenants think that since we provide the DSL service....we also provide tech support.....and since I am really thing only one in the office that knows about the technical end of things when it comes to computers.....the "help" phone calls get re-routed to my line......

....so.....I am frustrated with the fact that I am even getting these calls.....I shouldn't.....I am an engineer.....not an IT guy (even though I do wear the IT hat in the office....but that is for office related things)........

....I do not get paid to be a helpdesk....and to be honest.....no one could ever afford my fee if I were a helpdesk....there is only one thing I hate more people....and that is people with computer problems........

 

Sounds like somebody needs to learn the words "I'm sorry I can't help you". Once you have that mastered, learn to go *click* as you put the phone down, mmmmkay?

 

maybe just give them info to fry their puter and they won't be bothering you anymore.

 

Learn to use the phrase: No habla inglés it gets the illegals out of all kinds of stuff.

When ever you think you have it bad look at things going on in the world. We could all be much worse off. I know stress is everywhere and things can get hairy, nuts, crazy. But if you have a roof over your head and a fridge full of food life is still crazy but its bearable.. Thank goodness for the
