Blood pressure aint it great!... I do qualify for being a fat bastard. I take Bp medicine and have to do yearly blood work for all my liver functions and it just scares the hell out of me to get it done ! So that was my morning and I Wanted to share. Any one else out there go through this?
Sorry this aint got much to do with F150's other than my F150 that I waxed last night got me to the dr office ok.

 

20 mg of linisopril every day.

Still edging up toward 140/90. Mom's & her mom's were stratospheric, so I am doing well to keep it down. Need to lose another 25 pounds or so and I may not have to up the dose.

 

Check your BP every day. Its been shown that your brain reacts to the readings and try's to lower the BP to meet the desired numbers. It might not change much, but it helps to keep the BP readings at a more normal range instead of having high and low peaks that are not good.


I constantly hit as an average 115/70 with a heart rate of 50-55

 

I'm averaging 149/85....

 

I went to the Dr. today-

130/90....

When I was in great shape, it was 140/70 or 130/70... And my temp was always 97.7..

I've gotten colder over the years (96.9 today) but the BP is higher...

My lower body temp is probably why I rarely feel cold, and am miserable in the heat...

 

Same here, but not quite sure what the dosage is (really small pill)... But it's working... Used to make me cough a little, but not anymore.

 

I have been taking BP medication since about 1986. BP is 150/100 ithout medication, no matter what I do. I take 2.5mg, about minimum dose of Vasotec. With that BP is 120/80.
Yes I do get twice annual checks due to that and other medication I take for cholesteral and diabetes. All of which can hurt your liver. So far so good.

 

I am not a fat bastard, just a mildly overweight old fart, but I have been on BP meds fro years. Have to change about every 3 years as old one quits working. Now taking Benicar40/25. It is a combo method medicine. At the Drs office the otherday the reading was 110/80.

 

i know my spelling on this will be wrong so please do not tease me. A few years ago i was on anatol and avapro to lower my blood pressure. it worked but my sex life went down the tubes. my blood pressure is high because i am overweight. i weigh 300 pounds and i am 6ft tall. i am built like a football player. i went cold turkey on those drugs and when i take my blood pressure today it will be around 150 over 100 with no drugs. i know if i loose the weight the blood pressure will go down. i have mild diabetes to that weight loss will help to. i eat to much fast food. so to mention again, some bp medicine will kill your sex life. i forget what the doctor told me but it was called a alpha or beta blocker that dowa this. my sex life is very well now

7am Was wondering if you goes have to go through yearly blood work? and if so if your liver enzymes have ever been high????

10 am- just got blood work back and all was great! Last blood work my ALT liver was 99 this time down to 54! So im very happy... thank you all for letting me share this with you.. And if any one out in the f150 family has some liver issues.. you may want to look into MILK THISTLE........ Well now I guess I can finally go have a single hamburger with no cheese and wheat bread.... God I love trying to lose weight.
