Need Help.

I would post this where it belongs but I dont know where to put it.

I have two F150's an 97 and a 99. Both of them are not cranking in the morning or when they get cold sitting unless I give them gas and even then they will not idle untill about 5 or 10 minits lator.

Where can I look for info on this?
Thanks
Gator

That's most likely an engine problem. Check in that forum. Probably something like the AIC. Usually the symptoms of that, I think, is it won't stay running.

So you have to push the gas pedal just to get the starter to start turning?

Or do you mean they crank and just wont hit, unless you give them some gas?

I have the same problem with my 95 when it gets below zero. It is like everything is so stiff that there just isn't enough momentum to keep it running right away, and I too have to give it gas to get it to start.

What they do is turn over but not start unless you give them gas. And when you get them to start and let your foot off the gas they will not idle. All they do is die out and you have to give them gas to start them again. Holding on the gas you can go down the road but it takes about five minits befor they will idle on thair own. Seams electronic to me.

Sounds like a clogged injector to me.... buy a can of injector cleaner, and run your truck to the redline, all of this worked for me... Don't hold it there, just gun it on a straightaway and don't let off til it shifts into 2nd....Try posting in the engines forum, you'll get better responses.
