Budget Deficit

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20051229/...NlYwMlJVRPUCUl

"The administration now projects that the statutory debt limit, currently $8.184 trillion, will be reached in mid-February 2006,"

"....urged Congress to raise it quickly. Failure to do so potentially risks throwing the country into its first default in history......."

But Don't worry, Federal budget for Computer Crime has been dropped to $16 Million

While I support "W" on many issues, he certainly isn't a fiscal conservative!

It will be interesting to watch the gyrations in Washington in about 15 years when the "Pied Piper Of Social Security" comes to collect on his trust fund....

Won't be an issue, genius...

1. He was a multi-millionare BEFORE he became POTUS.

2. The POTUS gets paid a retirement for the rest of his life.

Fell free to bash elected officials to your heart's delight, just get your facts straight.

I'm not talking about "W" with this comment -- I'm talking about the millions of baby boomers who will go from "paying into" Social Security to "drawing out of" Social Security. The surplus that has been paid into the government over all these years has simply gone into the general budget -- grossly "hiding" the true level of overspending.

When this "hidden bonus" is no longer being poured into the government coffers, the folks in Washington will be forced to address the issue head-on -- it should be interesting to see this bunch of "spineless weinie's" have to make a decision on our nation's spending habits!
