F-150 Super Crew In Accident-Need Advice

A freinds F-150 was in an accident and couldn't be driven away from scene. Both driver's and passenger doors couldn't swing open (airbags did not deploy.)

It's possible the frame is tweaked. If so, will the insurance company prefer NOT to want to fix (on a truck like this?) Smaller cars I think it's easier to do...

Also...is a "frame" and a "chassis" the same thing?

Thanks...

with out a pic, it is hard to offer an opion. Frame/chassis on a full size truck is the same thing, If the body is part of the chassis and not bolted to a frame ( unibody ) than thier not the same.

If the impact knocked the body into the doors and the air bag did not deploy, than the frane is ok...hood and grill area took all the impact, but still, the air bag should deploy.

yes, basically.
the cab is mounted on bushing isolating it from the frame so the frame may not be bent and it was just the cab getting tweaked.
Body shops have great equipment and can straighten frames and body's back to factory specs.
As far as totaling it out, it depends on the damage and cost of part and labor. the year and worth of the vehicle plays a very big part. a 2004 will prolly get fixed compared to a 1997.
Post some pics.

Oh and welcome to the site. you'll get tons of info about your truck or if you need to get another one people here can help with that also.
