PC Onpoint...

Any of you computer gurus heard of this program? It's supposed to clean up loose ends on your computer.

I wouldn't mind having something that went in and found all the problems on my PC, and fixed them for me, but just don't know what programs out there are legit, and or really do any good, and I'm no expert or anything close...

Never heard of it.
Try PC Pitstop www.pcpitstop.com
Just run the scan and it will tell you what's up with your PC as well as giving you the lowdown on everything that's running and tips to improve speed. It's a great resource and I've used it for almost 5 years.

Here's their site. I really want something that will find everything... well, most things anyway, like dead links, old junk in the registry, etc... I don't want to have to manually fix everything after a program scans my PC...

I'll check out pcpitstop

NW-
Tried to get the trial version but it wouldn't open. Said 'unknown publisher' and then when I clicked to run it anyway it said the file was not a valid Win32 application.

Rocky....which one? OnPoint or TuneUp Utilities?
Here is a lilnk to a software forum where they are discussing TuneUp Utilities. The general consensus there is that it is one of the best of these types of applications going.

Tuneup utilities, the one you linked to. See if you can download and open the trial version. Perhaps either my Norton or security features in Windows IE is preventing me from opening it. On first glance everything points to it being an unsafe download. Unknown publisher made to look like Norton, several warnings when attempting to download, can't open it, etc.

Got it this time. When I clicked the 'trial version' download link, I chose to save instead of run. Second time I chose 'run' and it worked fine. Nice program so far, it got rid of an annoying error message I get at every reboot due to a sound card I installed and later removed. It found over 400 registry errors (computer is over 3 years old and used daily). Looking forward to seeing if it improves my surfing speed.

That "Internet Optimizer" was one thing they said was kinda useless in that forum I linked to.

Other than that, I think I like this program, may end up buying it.
