OK... so what was that?
Video isn't long enough to see what bike it might have came out of.

Best power was about 278 at 16,400. Then it dropped off.

since it says Cosworth on the screen and does rev to 20k, i would assume its an engine out of a formula one car.
In Europe they do have Cosworth Ford Escorts and Sierra's but they don't rev that high.

AHHH... Sharp eye and good call.

I was thinking a sport bike or something but was way to big.

Yeah, if it was a cosworth motor, it was likely an F1 engine. They're very small displacement, lightweight, high-revving motors (as you can see).

the first video is the new engine. Formula One will switch to 2.4 liter V8 engines in 2006. Cosworth has already begun dyno testing it’s V8 engine. The engine revs all the way up to 20,000rpm where the electronic rev limiter kicks in. Currently Formula One engines use 3.0 V10 naturally aspirated engines.

here are a couple more cool F1 videos.

Here is a sound clip of "we are the champions" using the RPM ranges of the engine. its sound 3 on the right side.

Does anyone have the video of where the F1 engine sings "when the saints go marchin in"

Those headers got FREAKING H.O.T. in that video. I mean they were white hot. How do they keep from melting down? Do they all run that hot?

Titanium is a wonderful thing. Titanium tubing is cheap, easy to work with, lightweight, strong, and can glow like that easily without melting.

I've had Ti headers glowing on a dyno myself, and that was with a little CBR600 motor.

WOW.

I've never worked with Titanium.
I really dont know all of it's qualities other than strong and light.

That's the chit. Ford needs to make an F1 version of the 4.6 and 5.4L's.
