Okay, this is a question coming from a dumb wrench turner, but, um...

What is it? What's so special about it?

Bill got himself a cordless optical mouse. Best of both worlds. I used to use a cordless mouse, but it had the roller ball and had too many quirks. Now I have a corded optical mouse which is awesome but has a cord.

I got an optical mouse for my laptop, 'cause the touchpad sucks and the trackball meese I had would work okay for about a week and get jammed up with gunk.

Cordless now too, huh? Sweet.

Ball less, cordless and you don't even need a desk now either!

Pretty cool mouse Bill.

I have a track ball mouse that I love. I like not having to pick it up and move it around, it just sits in one spot and I move the curser with my thumb. Makes it kinda interesting when I use a regular mouse though, I forget to pick it up and bring it back. . .end up rolling it off the desk, weird stuff like that!!

It is better than an "optical" mouse....it is actually a Laser mouse....thus is more accurate.....

When I move my cheap Logitec optical to the left, it goes left. When I move it right, it moves right. When I go up, it goes up. When I go down, it goes down. How much more accurate do you need?

Geez Matt....of all people I figured that at least you would understand.......

...do you really need me to go into the complexities of how light is refracted from a laster compared to "optical"?

No, I just think that they are getting a little carried away. But as long as they can market it as better then they will sell them.

I prefer laser over a flash light on my gun sites. But on a mouse as long as it's able to track the distance and direction that it has moved in general. Then that works for me.

It is a cool set up, much nicer than any of mine.
