yeah i think i've got ob covered. But for those that want to know I am researching a protein degredation pathway in breast and prostate cancer cells. For breast cancer there is a protein that is expressed in a certain amount, for prostate cancer the same protein is not expressed, so somewhere there is degredation of that protein in breast cancer. And i was at school today, until i decided to come home to wait for the ups man. And just for info, my PhD is in biochemistry and I plan on practicing emergency medicine.

Another site with regular updating and sometimes interesting stuff is Fark. I flip around between 4-5 forums and a few other sites like Fark, Drudge, etc. so I can usually find a fairly steady stream of new content.

An MD/Phd, very ambitious. Your research sounds interesting, any publications yet?

I have published as an undergrad, in a related area but not the same. That was dealing with a transporter called NHE1, basically it moves sodium into the cell and brings hydrogen ions out. Controls intracellular pH and is found to be mutated in some cancer cell lines. Since my current work is more of a long term project coupled with a few other people, I dont think i will be publishing anytime soon. I hope to publish some of it as part of my masters thesis.
