Fire Dept. and Santa

Last night our local FD came rolling down our street (and many others) lights ablaze, trucks decorated, carrying Santa. My kids rushed out - the neighborhood kids and some parents went out to get candy canes and shake hands. Was encouraging to say the least. Encouraging to see the Liberals haven't completely squished the Christmas Spirit around here....I've got video at home; I'll post up tonite.

my neighborhood does the same thing. After Santa drives through on a firetruck everyone meets at a 40' evergreen. We do a countdown and Santa lights the tree. The closest home has apple cider and hot chocolate and Santa gives out candy canes and does his thing.

Been doing it since I was a kid; it is a great time.

Our local government does that too.
The Fire Dept brings Holiday Man through the neighborhood.

"Oh, you better not shout,
you better not cry,
you better not pout, I'm telling you why,
Holiday Man is coming, to town !
" :santa:

My Town: Santa on the fire truck, and then into library to take the kids wish list.

Metra Train: Santa on the train to talk train safety.

Various Local Parades: Santa was there, and lots of candy thrown.

Day Care Center: Santa banned as to not offend the muslim children.

*Calling around for Santa outfit to surprise the little kids at Day Care*
