Ruby Tuesday's....
I don't know much about this restuarant, but my immediate family and I went to the one in Natchez, MS the day after Thanksgiving, after spending all morning shopping for deals at Wally world, and at the Natchez Mall.
Service was SUPER-SLOW as the resturant had been over-run that day with weary shoppers who had no desire to go home and cook; but the wait staff were all cute, thick & voluptuous, so I didn't mind the wait nearly as much as my wife and Mom did. I had a Long Island Ice Tea, a three cokes and I took a swipe at THE BIGGEST FREAKING HAMBURGER I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!! As you know, I was stationed in 2nd Infantry Division, just below the DMZ in Korea for a year, and I went every where I could while in the lush, green, smelly, borderline 3rd world country that I had the opportunity to go to.. I escorted The Dallas Cowgirls for the entire day as they did their USO tour, where I met former cowgirl and current star on UPN's Girlfriends Jill Jones... I ate at Camp Jackson with them, and from that day I thought the Jackson Burger (Only served at Camp Jackson) was the biggest burger I'd ever bitten into... Move over Jack- The Big Burger at Ruby Tueday is one big summabeyotch! If you don't think one burger can fill you up, and you have one in your area- swing on by Ruby Tuesday and have one... Jut make sure you don't go the day after thanksgiving if you're in a hurry or really hungry! |

I lived in Louisiana, on highway 65. Equally boring, but a nice riding, historic roadway. It (65) runs all the way up to Wisconscin. From Clayton, LA to Wisconscin is a long @$$ ride on a two-lane black top. |

You should try the double 1/3 pound burger at Hardees. I think the Ruby one is a double half pound, but I'm tellin you it's about the same size. Hardees makes the best burgers IMHO. Ruby's isn't bad though. :cool:

You guys want big burgers? This place in my hometown is laying claim to the world's largest burger. 15 lbs. Check out their website and click on the "burgers" link. http://www.dennysbeerbarrelpub.com/

Yes, exactly lol that puts everything to shame. A local place here has the same setup as that burger. A co worker challenged me and said she bet I could not eat a big burger from the place and I was like yea what ever and I ordered that sob and when I seen it I almost passed out lol. :lol: Enough for 6 people to share. |
Clayton, LA what a speedtrap it used to be or maybe still is, didn't the town cop get locked up for malfeasance in office?

Kind of off-topic, sort off, but since this conversation has drifted into big burgers...
Back in my sales days, I had a very important call at Disney World. For nearly a full year prior, I had been on a serious diet, lost almost fifty pounds. (not because of the sales call, just because I was a fat bastard) Since I was in the Disney area, however, anything as far as food was allowable on the diet. When my Wife worked at Disney, we used to go to a place called Jungle Jims. (I am sure the Orlando folk know it, it's still on the menu!) They had great burgers. Since I was anxious to be a glutton once again, I ordered their "Headhunter" burger, a 1 1/2 pound burger that included one pound of fries. If you ate it all, the next one was free. Needless to say, I ate it all. I had the next one shortly after the Daytona 500 almost one year later. :) |
I think I had a fried shrimp plate or something last time I was at Ruby Tuesdays. The service was okay. The shrimp was alright too. The servers were kinda rude and loud in regards to previous customers and how well they tipped, which I'd be pissed if I did my job well and didn't get what I was due, but that ain't exactly the thing to do loudly in front of other customers.
A local outfit in our little boondock town called the Four Winds fixes up something called a Ranger Burger, I think it's about a pound of meat with all the standard burger fixins'. Last time I had one, we split it between three people. :) As far as fast food burgers go, I think Hardees and Dairy Queen probably fixes the best ones up. |
Rubys is awesome, I love that place. The one here is always quick, the food is great and the waitresses are bangin!
Jungle Jims was a cool place also. There was the one on ( or at ) Church Street Station (which is no longer there) but I used to go there alot when I lived in O-town. Hmm, I'm hungry BREW :beers: |
While on the topic of cookie cutter chain restaurants with crap on the wall;
I went to TGI Fridays last week for the first time in awhile, and I almost couldn't eat in there. ...have any of you seen the movie Waiting? :devil: It was a just little bit surreal... especially with the staff... :rolleyes: :smoke: |
