Well we had our first little taste of winter excitement Wednesday night. I was coming home from the Spurs game downtown (we spanked Miami) at about 11 p.m. I'm runnin along in the right lane about 40 because the roads were iced up pretty well. It was about 26 degrees out and wind chill of about 15! So I look in the mirror and here comes a line of cars up behind me doing about 70 and they peel off to the right up an elevated off ramp. Well you know the rest, first guy loses it and the other seven behind him all plow into him! It was an 8 car pileup right beside me....God I love bad weather in San Antonio.

from what the local weather had to say during the 6:00 news....

the snow came down at the rate of 4 to 5! inches per hr. during the thunder...

just like in the summer when it downpours

just make that 28 degrees and that's what happend around here

it was WILD

just like the blizzard of '78

but the blizzard of '78 did that for 24 hrs non-stop

back then 4 feet of snow in 2 days was incredable..

30 foot drifts

you could not drive without a permit for 2 weeks..

just wild...i wish it would happen again

sigh...

Had a meeting last night at 7:30 by 9:00 it was snowing pretty hateful, could hardly see where you were driving.

Had some lightning around 9:30 or so, got up with 2-3 foot drifts, to hard to tell how much snow actually fell. It just all blew around.

I'll clean it up tomorrow.

Zap, considering I live in SC, I am highly satisfied to know that we will NOT see -28 degrees outside.

But hey, if you have to go snowmobiling to look for firewood, food or whatever, more power to ya.

Remember to slap the heater on the way out...
