Now that the Xbox 360 is out, are they going to quite making the original? If so, when? I have a free Xbox system coming at the end of Jan 2006. I got it because it was a promotional gift for signing up for some training which cost $3,195. Just wondering if I'll luck out and get the 360. The rules say this:
The Student will be sent via email an electronic gift certificate redeemable at Amazon.com in the amount of the current retail price of the promotional gift they select.

So let's pretend the old Xbox is phased out and only the 360 is available NEW. Of course Amazon sells used stuff...but the rules says current retail price, which means it would have to be new.

Anyone know if the old on e is out the door soon? My luck is they'll keep it around. I already had an Xbox and I sold it. I figured I'd take this one since it wa free

 

Actually, scratch that...they also offer the Sony PSP as an option. I'm going to try to change my selection (if they let me!)

 

Don't expect the old xbox to be phased out any time soon. Alot of the games from the old system don't even work on the new system at all. Example Doom 3

I'll just sell whatever they give me on ebay...I couldn't wait so I went out and bought a Sony PSP. Oh my God! This thing rocks. There's a free software upgrade from Sony that lets you browse the web on your wireless router. The screen is amazing on this thing! There's a sample video/music cd that came with it and it's just like a mini TV when playing. It's awesome. You can surf the web, play music, play videos and of course, play video games!
