Problem viewing this site?

Does anyone else experience this problem when reading the message board here? I can surf the web for hours and have no problem, but after opening only a few threads here images stop downloading - the pages don't completely load and it says "20 images remaining" at the bottom of my browser, but nothing else will load. I have broadband access and have tried clearing history and cookies with no difference. Then if I go to another site the images there wont load either. If I close the browser and reopen, I can go on other websites and they load fine until I come back here. This is really frustrating! Any help would be appreciated.

maybe if this was in the correct forum (QATS) then you'll get an answer from someone who can help.

You're probably right, just thought maybe one of the tech savy people here might be able to help. Sorry if I offended anyone by posting in the wrong forum.

You may want to try clearing your browser's cache. It sounds like it may be at its limit...

Yea yea, I know all about the Dezervit Mule Kick thing. Honestly I would rather see a duplicate post or a post to a wrong forum than see 10 posts a day from someone who has nothing better to do than rag on people for not using the search feature and complain about what and where others post, but that's just me!

Anyhow, I have cleared temp internet and cookies and increased the amount of disk space for temp internet files. I am running windows 98SE. I don't know what it is, but certain threads just shut my machine down. I am thinking there are some really big files in those threads that just won't load and wreak havoc on my PC. All I have to do is restart IE and things are going again. Thanks to those offering their help.

Ok, I think I have pinpointed the problem. I noticed that I was only having this problem when I opened certain threads. I then noticed that there were a couple of common users in those threads. I think maybe that the signature files for those users are just too big for my antique PC. I was shocked to see how big the file for my own signature was. I went into the user control panel and turned off view signatures and I am not having any problems. Maybe this old PC will last me another year or so! Just a shame I had to turn off signatures, some of them are really cool!

:santa: happy holidays!
