Is the grass greaner on the othier side ???

A rival company, posted a job position in Calgary's local paper, Rate of pay was + $5000.00 per year,+ thier company Bonus..

My interview, lasted five min, A new record for me.
I waited twenty min for this interview and concluded, If I have to wait for the guy who set up the appointment, than frick it...But I waited.

Turns out the job I do and the position thier looking for are only related in name, when asked why I was applying, I stated thier rate of pay is better, this was after I was asked my rate of pay.

Thier rate of pay of the job I do, ( been at it for four years ) is a hell of a lot less, Guy was pissed off at this and told me they were not hirring for a lessor position and interview was over..

On my resune I sent to him, my job title and discription were clearly stated by my self.

My company offers three wks holidays, a bonus of 3.5 X my monthly salery...I have issues, but after checking out this potential new employer, I have it pretty good were I'm at.

( Construction assistant for a residential home builder )

I sure am glad you were'nt interviewing to be an Grammar Editor....

j/k

I feel the same way sometimes. I have days when I can't stand my job, and then I see other one's around me that really suck, and it makes me understand just how good I do have it.

That's what I said, Grammar.........

Also, I gues I wouldn't qualify either.....

ok, ok, ok, so it didn't turn out like I wanted.......or intended.....I now know my place in life, and beng any type of Editor is not it.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention, just like I did to Cyclone......now leave me alone and let me hide under my desk for a couple of hours.....

also, I guess me running spell check wouldn't have been a bad idea, would it?

and YES, i did go back and change my error.....trying to cover up my mistakes.

The only reason the grass is greener on the other side is because of all the horse crap the people feed it. I left a company i was with for 8 years for what i thought was the promised land. After 1 1/2 years with no raise, i got a call from my old boss asking if i was interested in coming back (thank Lord i left on excellent terms) I jumped all over the chance and have been back at my old employer for about 8 months, already got a raise. So much better here than i realized before...
