I have the chance to get an 87 Toyoya Tacoma 4x4, solid axle, 4 cylinder engine. Any input on these as project trucks. I have seen a lot lifted on 39's and even 44's and want to know how this would be. I am only 17 and was hoping to do most work myself. Are they hard to work on? How expensive also? I was hoping to give it a suspension lift and some minor engine work.

 

Lifts are cheap. However if you want to put some big tires on it, get yourself a 350 in there.
