I know killing animals seems cruel, but its a neccessary evil.

Good God they number in the hundreds?!?!?!?!
Uh . . . you know, that logic can more easily apply to humans. We are increasing at a rate much larger than the deer, we destroy lots more than yards and fences, and we dont just sometimes ruin eco-systems, we're pretty much ruining the entire planet. We eat more than crops, and, if you plow into a person at 75 MPH you're gonna do some serious damage to your truck . . .
So . . . I guess you should start shooting humans. Right?

Somebody set up the rules, make it legal and as long as I get to be one of the hunters... I wouldn't mind a human season.
Maybe start with a convict bow season for 3 weeks.
Then a convict Black Powder for 1 week
Then a convict Rifle season for 2 weeks.
Then start over again.
Since humans mate all year long we can have hunts all year long!
If we run out of convicts then we can start hunting the homeless!

[QUOTE=Bighersh] I mean really- where is the thrill in killing something you've baited with bags of corn weeks prior to your trip? Sick B@stards...
To make it truly sporting- go out there buck naked with nothing on but some boots, and long finger nails... Whatever you catch and can kill with your bare hands- you deserve to put above your mantle over your fireplace. That's sports, man versus beast, in a hand-to-hand struggle- winner take all.

So when you go fishing, you don't use bait? You catch your fish with a bare hook or your hands...maybe a spear. At least hunters are not suppose to use bait when we hunt. I mean really what's the difference. Hunters/Fishers get up before day break and sometimes don't come home until dark. You fish out of a boat where the fish can't see you, we hunt out of a stand or blind....where the deer can't see us. (but they can smell us...sometimes).
What does it matter what we kill our game with, other than "Laser" sights being illegal. People use fancy fishing gear to catch fish also. And my treestand didn't cost $20,000 (+ or -) like some bass boats do.
Most hunters I know eat the game they kill, if they find it. Oh that's sad right, I shoot something knowing/thinking I hit it, but I can't find it. What's the difference in hooking a fish then the line breaking. How do you know you hooked it in the mouth or the fish did't swallow the hook. If it swallowed, it's more than likely going to die....and you can't find it.
What's the difference in mounting a deer or a fish?
At least when we clean the game we "kill" it don't know it. Aren't fish still alive when you start filleting it....I bet you knock it in the head with a hammer huh....kill it first.
Fact is, Hunting and Fishing is a sport. Other than baseball, football, etc. it's another American past time. Some eat what they catch/kill, some don't. It is your american right to choose whether you hunt, fish, or cast your opinion on hunters just as it is my right to have an opinion on people who don't like hunting......

You and Hersh should get together at the local gay bar, what a couple ****!!!!
Get over it both of you. We hunt we kill we eat!!!!. So next time you sit down to your hormone, chemical ridden beef steak think about that poor cow and that special someone that bashed in its ****!n head to kill it so you could eat it. Maybe he should have just taken a camera and snapped a few pics of that porterhouse your slamming down your necks...
PS we don't use laser sights (not legal yet
) I use a in line muzzle loader black powder and a scoped lever action 30.30 when its bad weather. And we don't use bait piles, corn what ever, it is also illegal.

Snappy comeback BuckDropper... I guess the name says it all. Well, call me what you want- it's no skin off my nose, Jeffro. I eat beef, just like 95% of America does- I don't have a problem with that...I've had deer steaks too- I just don't see the appeal, and what's so sporting about it... Fishing is BS too, but- what are you gonna do when you grow up in the country? I fished a lot, but none since I graduated high school.
Regarding hunting, that's my opinion on the subject.. It's nothing that can stop you from hunting- so, hop to it. I hear they have brown parkas with antlers on them to help you blend in... They're super-cheap, you may want to invest in one of those. It couldn't hurt.
PS- The guys at work talk about how they go out weeks in advance to their deer blinds and put out corn, etc. to attract the deer- then they go to teh stands, and wait for them to come back...
I don't know if they're using corn that day, but I'm sure you get the point... He**, this past weekend, they had tons of corn kernels sittign by the gas pumps for the hunters to buy, $5.00 a bag. So, if it's legal or not, I can tell you- it goes on in Louisiana and Texas.

Bro relax i am just messin with you!!. We all have opinions and the right to express them. I hunt because i love it its a passion with me. Like maybe someone who bowls, plays golf (now thats a waste of space) or whatever. My name is Jim not jeffro and yes hunting is a sport if your using a rifle, bow shotgun its here to stay. I had sporting times overseas many years ago and i'll take deer hunting over killing other folks anytime.
God I hope it's a sport, because I've lost the last two years!
No I do not hunt for trophies. I have passed on 8 pointers the last two years hoping for something smaller, younger, tastier.
I have gotten other game to keep my freezer full though. So only the deer have beat me.

That's great Jim!!
what happened in Wisconsin

He was found guilty and can or did get 60 years for each murder.
These hunters should have disarmed him befroe they allowed him to leave the stand. Of course i would think one would have to have been there and be in that situation.

Somethings fishy, I've always said that if somebody was shooting at me or even accidentally in my direction in the woods, that I'd shoot back.
To bad about the litle girl though.
