The Flight That Fought Back on Discovery Channel
Anyone watch it? There's an encore showing of it on now that started at 11pm ET. It was one of the best things i've seen on TV in a while. It really is amazing that those people took that chance, and i know if i was on that plane I would be kicking down the (ockpit door to get to those SOB's too. Really takes you back to 9/11. Great job on the creator's part, they did an awesome job.

I saw it 2 or 3 months ago for the first time. It's a great tape. I think there was a couple threads started on this a couple months ago as well in here, but I hope nothing happens again like this in our future, lets pray not!
I live maybe 2 miles as the crow flies from the crash site. Never been there, have an uncle that has a summer cabin just up the road from it he goes down in the summer several times just to see how many people come to it, guess he is a people watcher. I drive past an old church at the end of the the road I live on that has been converted into a memorial chapel, never been in it, but they spent a lot of money and time on overhauling it. There is a light of some sort that shines straight up into the sky, burns 24 hours a day i believe. I know it is visible from miles away.
I went to a friends house that is near by and we were going somewhere, and he drove by it.
I don't know if any of you have been to this site but there is nothing there, except a fence in the middle of a field. Not much to see but that. Just down the road 100 yards or so is or was a scrap metal yard, I remarked how much money was just lying there, all someone would need to do is set up a stand and tell people this was part of the plane and sell off little pieces of scrap metal. I doubt many people would know the difference, and someone could put a little cash into their pocket and a little into some local causes.
Appropriate, probably not, profitable, I'd say definatly.
