Windows Media Player Question
Windows Media Player Question
Okay, Im running XP PRO with media player 9. After trying to install media player 10, it says... Cannot Complete Windows Media Player 10 Setup.
...It was not possible to complete setup. Windows media player 10 was not installed. To update windows, run windows media player 10 setup again.
Ive tried running setup again, same thing happens.
When I try to open up media player 9, it says...An Internal Application error has occurred...must click OK.
I cant reinstall 9 because it says its no longer available for XP. What the heck can I do?? I'd appreciate any help!!
Thanks,
Justin
P.S I dont exactly have a genuine version of XP.

I haven't bothered to do any updates since they implimented that.
Try a system restore and just use WMP 9.

No use windows restore and use a restore point from yesterday. System will be exactly as was yesterday at the time when the restore point was placed.
Start/programs/acessories/system tools/system restore
Start/programs/acessories/system tools/system restore

I don't know when you installed Norton and Spy Sweeper, but usually whenever you install a program it automatically makes a restore point so as long as WMP was the last thing you (tried to) install then you're ok.
