Headin to Boise!

Hey boys/girls,

I just wanted to, once again, wish everyone a very safe and happy Thanksgiving! The little dude and I will be heading to Boise in a few house. Right now I'm biting my nails waiting for my Edge chip to arrive so I can hook it up! Should be an interesting trip with that bad boy ;-)

I should be chatting with you guys in about a week, hopefully with some killer pics! (and no, not of my hootiecans)

*MUAH*

Don't drive that truck so fast that the wind gives those Boise boys a free hootiecan peek.

That would upset the many of us here who have devoted endless hours to poetry writing and using up Steve's bandwith, only to come up empty.

Drive verry carefully, fog is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Has been for days.

You can say that again! I got there Wednesday afternoon and called hubby. He asks "So how is Boise?" and I'm all, "Um.... WHITE and not snowy" HAHAH My dad had to meet me on the outskirts of town so I'd be able to find my way to his house. So I didn't get to see much of Idaho:

Wed - Fog
Thursday - Fog but lifted a little
Friday - rain & snow
Saturday - snow in the AM

On my way out of town it was dry until I hit the mountains and got into a little bit of rain & sleet but not much. Then I hit Jordan Valley and was in the middle of a blizzard. Got out of that and then somewhere close to the Oregon/Nevada border, on my way to Winnemucca, I passed an overturned vehicle. I pulled over and so did a few cars behind me. I was shaking so bad. Fortunately emergency services had been there already and had put a sticker on the vehicle so there were no dead bodies. WHEW! But why they left it on the side of the road I have no idea. So then some a$$clown that had pulled over too started talking about a similar scene he had passed one time on his way to Vegas and the people were still inside & dead.... ugh.

So got to Winnemucca, NV and stayed the night. Woke up to 18 degrees!!! YIKES! I was very glad to hit California and our 50 degree weather.

I took a bunch of pics so I'll post them once I get some time, if anyone is interested.

Oh yea, and my Edge chip works great. Haven't tested out the "extreme" mode yet but I got 15+mpg on my trip. Much better than the 10 I'm used to.

How long are we going to have to patiently wait on the pics?
