With no insurance it will be hard for you to aford proper health care and rehab. Expect these problems for the rest of your life. My father-in-law had an ATV accident back in April, dilocating his shoulder. He was at my house tonight complaining about what the cold was doing to his shoulder. He went through all the rehab and stuff and his still bothers him to do certain things as well.

From: in a van down by the river
Junior year of highschool(2003), football game about 3 hours away, third quarter. I was playing right outside linebacker and i went in on a blitz and went to sack the quarter back when he moved in on me and when diving in the air i reached out with my left and and dislocated it. It was tough getting off the ground when laying on your back. The crowd clapped when they finally got me up. I was in too much pain to care.

So i sat on the side lines, loosing feeling in my arm, numbness and panic sets in. After 45 minutes of deciding whether to take me by ambulance or car they took me to the hospital which was 45 minutes away by a van, that took an hour+. On the way we first got lost, had to back track a good 5 miles, had to wait for a train, (felt like the longest one of my life), and when we got to the town we couldnt find the hospital. We pulled into a convienient store and ask a car full of girls where it was. As much pain i was in i still tried to get a phone number LOL.

As soon as we found the hospital, there were 3 code red patients just brought in, 2 separate accidents. So i sat and waited for 1 1/2 hours with NO medication or ANYTHING. Finally they called an old lady that was partially retired to come fix me. I got 2 shots of demeral in my *** and then got put under with valume i believe and next thing i woke up feeling great.

Just over 3 hours of having my arm dislocated it got it put back in. Then a 3 hour drive home on a charter bus. Sad thing was, 6 of our 8 starters were out for the rest of the season from that game. Yes we played 8-man football.

I went to therapy for a month before having orthiscopic surgery because i had previously sublexated it(where it goes back in on its own). Went the therapy for 3 months after that. It was hell. I cant imagine going through it all again. Cant sleep at night, ect. Arm feels better today but i still have my days. So 20,000+ later im fixed.
