House Lights
Take a good look at the left side of the video.
Do you guys also see a reflection of a guy with a cowboy hat on.
He is either playing a keyboard or he is playing the lightmachine.

Or maybe I just witnessed a ghost.

At first, I thought like Rocky, that has to be a video edit. But here is a forum where the guy who did it is talking about it, and others who do this stuff were complimenting him on his. So I guess it's for real, and very cool, I might add.

( sort of slow loading site.....)

So does this mean I'm on YOUR list now?

So where did you find it for under $300?? I havent put any lights up yet, I still have a chance to do it this year.

If you do one, you need to post some video here.

Oh sorry I meant to post a link.

http://www.lightorama.com/

The most expensive LOR they have is $289.95

The software to design the light show is on sale for $79.95 with the purchase of a controller, that also comes with teh adapter you have to have to hook it up to your computer to run the controller.

Audio is broadcast throu your computers sound card, so you either have to run speakers from you computer out side or get an FM modulator and broadcast on your own lower power FM radio station from your computer. Which I belive you can pick up a modulator and the 1/8" cable to plug it into your computer at Radio Shack for probably less than $50 (just guessing).

I am going to get a 16 channel board for $189, build my own weather proof box for it and learn the light show software after christmas this year. Then I can have a professional looking show ready by next year! I'll set it up in the living room with table lamps to test the show while I'm working on it through out the year.

Ohh I will, of course it wont be anything to that magnitude! Apparently that guy has been doing this since the 70's. He was also using 88 channels and who knows how many zone system. I will be using 16 channels and 1 zone for the first couple of years. I think that is more than enough to keep me confused for several months while trying to program a show and make it match some music!

I also noticed on that forum, that was his 2004 display. I wonder if he did a new one this year??? And, I wonder how much his cost to do....over 10 grand, you think?

I doubt it, he may buy some new stuff each year but like the piece sign he said he built in the 80's lost it when they moved then later found it under some plywood, plugged it in and it worked so he uses it every year now. Many said that alot of thier neighbors bring over light strands to use and they offer anything they dont use to thier neighbors so it's more of a cummunity event.
I live in the country so this isn't likely for me. Most people on my road just put one strand up (if that). But traffic isn't to high. I bet next year when I do this the traffic increases. The year after I do this I bet my neighbors put a bunch more up!

I'm thinking about doing some colored spot lights. You should beable to see them from 2-3 miles away!
Just hope aircraft dont mistake me for the airport!

Hey, Matt...I figured the fitting was to big, but I just sent the whole package anyway. Just cut the tip of the funnel top a little at a time to get the right size hole you need. I'm sure that will work fine for ya.
