Why does electrical tape not stick??

I tried to use black electrical tape a few times underneath the dash to tape wires tight together, and seems like the tape does not hold! It loosens up on me and just flops around.

Duck tape works great, but I’m not going to use duck tape to tie any kind of wires together as it looks very dumb if anyone would look under the dash to see a bunch of duck tape, so I’d rather have them see black electrical tape. Why doesn’t this crap stick like it does inside of a house??

Wire Ties are better than electrical tape in most places.

You must be buying cheap tape. Get some 3M and you wont have this problem. Also cut it instead of breaking it off and don't put your greasy fingers all over the sticky part.

just so you know...it is duct tape. Unless of course you are using Duck brand. In wich case it is Duck Brand Duct Tape.

I think the easist thing would probabbly be to just yank all of them wires right out of there. They can't get in the way if they aren't there
