Joe Bonamassa...
Joe Bonamassa...
Ever heard of him?
Like him?
A friend and I were talking about him recently. We're both big fans. He actually got to see Joe at a free concert while I was on my cruise this summer. I was quite agitated, but still think I was better off on a cruise ship for a week...
Well, anyway, we've decided that Joe is probably the best under rated guitarist...
This guy is marketed mostly as a blues player, but seems to be able to pick up and type of guitar and play any type of music as good or better than those who play only that style...
If you haven't heard him, check him... good stuff!

It's hard to pick out a favorite song or CD, but for diversity check out the CD "Had to Cry Today". Listen to all the bluesy rock songs (Reconsider Baby, being my favorite on that CD), then after you've heard the rest, listen to "Revenge of the 10 Gallon Hat"... There's gotta be some hard core chicken pickers in amazement over that...
Have you ever listened to any Freddie King? Some of my favorites:
Lowdown in Lodi
Biglegged Woman
Woman Across the river
Palace of the King.
He was a guitar inspiration for many of the modern blues pickers.
