It looks like the pirates in the Indian Ocean are getting braver. They are going after cruise ships now.

That's when you'd want a Phalanx anti-missle system aboard.

Put three on the port side, three on the starboard side- and that kind of BS would stop happening... Just fix them where they can point a little bit lower.


20mm of hot lead up your **** will change your mind about trying to rob folks, and about firing RPG's at a ship. An RPG isn't exactly an Exocet, but against a cruise ship; who knows... I'm sure you 30-pluser's will remember images of the USS Stark limping home after an Exocet hit... Ironically, they said that missle would have richocheted off the hull of the USS Missouri... Proof positive that they don't build'em like they used to..

Consequently, I'm sure todays cruise ships are thinner-skinned than say- the Luscitania or the Titanic, I just hope they have better water-tight compartments...

Pirates have been around in the Indian ocean, forever it seems. I think though this is the first time they have gone after a cruise ship. Usually they go after freighters.

 

None of the news organizations are willing to admit that the 'pirates' are actually Muslums. You know, the same peace-loving religious fanatics rioting in Paris and blowing up our military forces in Iraq. Blow all their heads off, and keep doing it until they start thinking 'maybe I better not bomb/riot/blow someone up because I might get my head blown off'.

That Captian tried to ram them, too bad those smaller boats can manuver so well. It's also funny that he just stomped on the gas and out-ran them. Man, that's gotta make a pirate blush. Phalanx or maybe a 5" gun or two. That would teach 'em.
