The Power of Suggestion

has anything like this happened to you? The other day I followed the thread that discussed not having any oil pressure. Someone explained that you never really knew what our oil pressure was as we have an electronic sender that registers the same all the time. We either have pressure or we don't. So if there is no pressure, it can mean your sender switch is bad or you have dumped your oil. So the next night I jump in the truck to do an errand, I glance at the gauges and "ooops", no oil pressure. So I debate on what to do, go back, stop and check the oil or what. I did not hear anything from the engine so a kept going thinking, that is amazing, i just read about this problem. I looked down again and noticed that the guage was slowly moving up, then I realized it was the Temp guage. I felt rather stupid and relieved at the same time.

just kidding buddy, I couldn't resist! I've done the same thing before. I once left for work one morning and stopped for gas cause it looked low. Truck only took one gallon because I was looking at the temp gauge.

I knew you were kidding. All in fun. Except when you are compared to Triton. I mean, that is just too much!

And thanks Vader, I knew you would get it.

One time I thought that I could only do 5mph when floored! Then it would shut down till 2 mph and climb again. I had read about this problem though not quit as sever but similar symptoms, when the fuel filter plugged up. So I went to the auto store bought a new filter and changed it in the parking lot. It did not fix my problem, then I realized that I was looking at the tach and not the Speedo!
Silly me. :o

You guys crack me up!
