Played X-Box 360 last night / Cheaters (R)
Hey, Best Buy now has the X-Box 360 set up for you to demo. I plyed this shoot'em up war game, kinda like D-day, but set in 1942 near Egypt.
It was awesome.. Games like that get me dizzy; I'm a little light-headed thinking about it; but the graphics were awesome. I'd say, better than DVD quality, if that possible.
It was confirmed for me that Microsoft didn't make the dummy-move Nintendo made, by making the old games obsolete/imcompatible on the new system. It can play on it's side (PS-II like) or flat like the old X-box. They show what's different between the $200 & $300 versions, Hard Drive, etc...
It's set for release around 11/22. The controller is a little different, but, it's a cool game. If only they didn't make me sick...
-----------------------------------------------------
Cheaters: I met Tommy Grand last night too; he was in Best Buy at the same time I was. I thought he looked familiar... It was him.
He's real skinny, but about 6'5". A small guy to be talking so much smack to guys who are cheatign on their girls/wives... They're right, TV makes you look big, because as little as he was; for me to be on TV, they'd need aerial photos...

Cheaters is one of the funniest reality shows out there...and they all arent real. Some are staged. A friend of mine was on one with his girlfriend and her brother.

A couple of things... Not all Xbox games will be able to be played on the Xbox 360.
To play the games that will be backwards compatible on the 360, you have to have the Hard drive.

"Prior to the Xbox 360's unveiling, the issue of backwards compatibility wasn't even something Microsoft would discuss. However, when Microsoft finally announced that its next-gen console would feature backwards compatibility with "top selling" games, it seemed to confuse people, not excite them. "

I'll skip the Xbox 360...the Playstation 3 will smoke it in graphics anyhow.
I'm also hoping/betting that Nintendo's new Revoultion will do very well. It isnt going to be able to compete with X or P on graphics but it has a ton of cool features and the controller sounds pretty amazing.
I love the idea of being able to download any game from the Nintendo library from the past 20 years and play it on the Revolution. Free access to their network service via the Internet. Backward compatible with the GC...
I'm hoping the big N can pull it off this time. I'll have two systems for the first time since Play 1 and N64....right now I'm exclusively GC.

is the splinter cell fun?? also, have you played any of the medal of honor games? I would like to play those, but my girl wont let me rent them cuz she will never see me..I tell her, just come in the room and watch me play, but then I get mad because she wants to talk and I cant concentrate and she leaves..lol
How about Metroid for GC? I've been thinking about getting a used one just for that. I've always been a fan, and they got 2 or 3 Metroid games out now don't they? Plus, there's supposed to be something you can hook a Game Boy up to, and use as another controller or something...
I've been so hooked on Forza Motorsports for Xbox though, that I probably won't play anything until I finish it... I've since bought Doom3, Ninja Gaiden and Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, but haven't played more than 10 min of each, because I wanted to get back to Forza...

The gameboy hook up displays a map, enemies, hidden items and lets you plant a special sticking bomb.
