I've greatly enjoyed your posts over the years - I can't even hazard a guess as to how many times you have made me laugh. Ok, I'll hazard - it's way up in the hundreds.

I can't fire a zinger at someone if they wished me Happy Birthday.

I turn 50 in a couple of months. I too just got my AARP membership kit. Did your's come with the freebies mine did? For instance:
- A device that allows you to drive for miles on end with your left blinker on
- One of those dorky little change purses that you squeeze to open
- A device that causes your hand to shake when you try to open the change purse
- A bag that hangs from your belt with a hose that goes someplace (?)
- Blue hair dye
- A free sample of Depends undergarments (pre-stained)
