"Manufacturer Extra"?

On the way to work this morning I saw a Hummer H3 with plates that said Manufacturer Extra? I've never seen a vehicle with Mfg. plates before is this what they all say, or is "Extra" something else? I can't remember now what state, but I think it was Arkansas... Seemed really odd to see something like that around here...

The H3 wasn't too bad looking. Looked to me like a Grand Cherokee with some wide fender flares... Maybe with some bigger meats and a lift it would be a fun toy, but around here they'll get the largest wheel that will fit, and never see dirt...

Lift???

I saw a white SLAMMED H2 with what were probably 26's. Freakin' A man! I see it every now and then, I'll have to start carrying my camera with me to get a shot of it.

But I don't know a thing about the Manufacturer Extra.

my boss just got his wife a H3 when i saw it on tv i thought it looked stupid, but it is pretty nice outside and if you get the adventure package it comes with lower transfer case gearing 33" tires and 4.56 gears and a electronic locker in the rear, i dont like the inline 5 cylender it is lacking in the HP department, i personaly would never get one, but it is not bad price is kinda high he paid $37,000 for his with all the options you can get

Is there a GM plant in Arkansas closer? Usually the mfg plates are issued in the company's home state. For example, all of our Ford rep's plates are from Michigan and say manufacturer across the top. The "extra" part is wierd but it is GM so who knows?

I followed a H3 on the way to work on Monday. Your right it does look like a grand Cherokee, an over priced one.

The closest one that I know of is OKC. I don't know of any plants in AR... Just kinda weird...

and yes, overpriced is a good way to describe it... I think it's based on the Colorado/Trailblazer platform, and not that I'd like to have either, but I'd rather have them, than the H3...

H3 = YUCK Even my misdirected GM lovin' friends laugh at them. Nearly 40k for an underpowered Trailblazer with an ugly body kit, no thanks. H3 for the urban poser who can't quite afford the H2.

We see quite a few Michigan Manufaturer plates her in Las Vegas.
I'm sure they come here for the heat to do final testing, and hospitality of course.
