BMW X5 Kill

Friday night my friend and I decided to go check out the street scene. On our way back to my house, I got stopped at the light with a BMW X5. I wasnt sure if it was the 5.4l or the 5.8l. Anyways, he had his windows tinted and music "thumpin'". My friend rolled down his window hoping to get the X5 to do the same but we didnt get a response. At the light we both gunned it. It was a dead even race all the way up to 40mph. Once my truck shifted into 3rd gear it was all over for the BMW. At about 60mph he was well behind my bumper. I let off at around 70mph on a 45mph street. As most people that lose do, he turned off onto the next road.

Nothing feels better than destroying a $60,000 performance SUV. After I get my pulley system upgraded with a tune I hope to race a Porsche Cayanne(sp?).

Current Roush S/C's for the F150 do not have intercoolers, however it's the same M90 I believe that Roush has been using on the Stage 3 Mustangs since 01 and I've never heard of that problem with them...one guy found a screwdriver from Roush in the intercooler though, actually between it and the s/c unit I believe. Heh.

I though the X5 was availible with a 3.0 six, 4.4 eight and for a select few a 4.8 eight.

I ran with one with the 4.4 when I had my Magnacharged '98. Mine was the 4.6/5-speed. I thought the X5 was pretty quick. Not as quick as my F150 though.

I agree, there is no better feeling than smoking some over priced vehicle.

That's correct. And there is no way it had the 4.8 v8 as those things are insanely quick. the 4.4 is more likely and still a great kill. the 4.9 will run you 80k+

Are underdrive pulley's removed when you get a supercharger? I purchased some from troyer a few days ago, and if I get a supercharger after my lift, I may want my $200 better spent.

With the Roush S/C the whole pulley setup is different being that it uses the FEAD setup (2 belts).

But even so, you wouldn't want to underdrive your S/C if you put one on, so even if you could, it wouldn't be very smart to leave the underdrive pullies on there if you went S/C...you'd be robbing yourself of power, and at that point, you should just give me the S/C kit hehe.

MAn-

I'll take a BMW X5 4.8is over anything Ford builds, with the exception of the Ford GT.

That's a freaking bad-**** SUV.

Then again, if your truck smoked an SUV capable of 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, then either he wasn't running it hard, or- you have one bad-@ss F-150.

I just re-read that... You're right... 6.0 seconds...

But still- I don't care if it ran 0-60 in 14 seconds, it's still a sweet ride...
