busy day a head of me!

I'm going to get the Mountaineer ready for winter today as temps will be near 60 and sunny today! I think this will be the last nice weekend until the snow flys, so I'm going to get her ready for old man winter!

Going out today, giving it wash, and wax hopfully and detail the inside. Black is such a pain to do any work on without showing swrill marks, but I hope I can get it done looking like it just pulled out of the show room!

I found my camra today, so I'm hoping I can get some good pics, and I'll post them on here later today if I remember how to load pictures on here again.

Its going to be a fun day!

Hey neighbor, good idea... definately gonna be a nice weekend. I got snowed on the way to work friday morning going up 83. I have yet to try my engine block heater that was installed who knows when on my explorer. But with four wheel drive and everything, I cant wait for it to snow.... till I have to stop at the gas station. You have four wheel drive right?
...Waiting for pics.

hey neighbor!

I didn't know u had an Explorer, thats cool! What year and modle? I don't have 4x4, it has AWD system which is working out great so far in wet weather, and I also can't wait to see what it does in the snow!

We'll have to get together sometime and see what we got :-P

I'm taking a break right now from cleaning, I got side tracked after tryign to fix a rattle in the seat belt piller which I don't know how to fixyet, but I did how ever was it this morning and once I have lunch, I'll go outside and sart cleaning the inside of the windows, then after that, start the wax which will probaby take the rest of the day. I'll try to get pics today if I still can if its ready, but if not, tomorrow for sure as it will be another nice day out!

How did I know that you would find a rattle?

psst.. AWD is a 4wd system. So it is considered 4wd. Just so you know. You can call it AWD to your tree huggin friends so it dosn't sound so bad. But to us... just call it 4wd.

Well, its in my sig and im still embarased about it. A 1991 green Explorer XLT 4X4. I got it at auction for $875. I only had like $1300 saved up I had to get something so I could get a job. So its paid for along with six months insurance. Now im 19 y.o working full time making $7 an hour, woop dee doo. Now im saving to buy my dads f-150 off of him, also in sig, since his work bought him a 2003 F-450 service truck that he will use for a daily commuter truck. He said he wont want to make insurance payments on it and really wont need it. I havent told him yet that I would buy it off him. Hopefully he would just let me pay off the two grand he still owes on it, id be in heaven if had that truck!! Have fun out there.

I love the way it turned out for me! It took me about 8 hours to wash and then wax! Considering its 4 years old now (2002) the black is in very good shape with obviously some nicks and swrill marks I can't seem to get off.

I don't know if I will ever buy another black car or truck, its so hard to keep up with. They sure do look great when cleaned up though!
