I'd be interested in that answer myself. I don't have it yet but have been thinking about signing up for it.

the movie list is AWESOME, and from what it says on the FAQ area of the page...

Q: How long will it take to get my movies?
A: Movies are sent by first class mail and usually arrive within about one business day following shipment. We will send you an e-mail letting you know when we have shipped your DVD and when you can expect it to arrive. We do not ship on weekends or postal holidays.

another cool thing is its a return envelope. ive already got close to 50 movies/shows on my list and ive only been looking for a few minutes lol

Was a Netflix subscriber for the past year untill recently. I got five subsequent orders filled that were all scratched and unlike the video chains down the street I couldn't just walk in and swap it out. I'm still a subscriber but ONLY (not yelling, just emphasizing) because I travel and it's nice to mail them out while on the road and order my new picks in the hotel and have them waiting when I get home.

If it weren't necessary for me during the long flights, then I would just stick with my local chain. Good company and they jump on the problems, maybe I'm just a little jinxed when dealing with them.

Try the two weeks free, you will most likely enjoy them greatly.

Hah, I actually know one of the lady's who was part of the original staff there, she's with a guy that lives in a trailer, but her house is nice. It was a small company and started in 99 (wild guess, # just popped into my head). She says she's almost been there the longest.

I just started using Netflix about a month ago and I absolutely love it.. much better than local chains.. shipping is extremely fast.. only thing I don't like is, even though mail runs on Saturday they won't have any movies arriving on that day.. it's held until Monday. Other than that, I highly recommend their services to anyone who thinks video stores just don't have the selection or enough copies of a certain movie.. there's almost no waiting involved, because they have places set up all over, which is what makes shipping so fast and if one place doesn't have something, another place does.

forgive the rambling, I'm pulling my first third shift in a loooong time and am extremely tired.

I have been a faithful subscriber for about a year or so now.. I love it, I have it planned so I can get the new releases on tuesday, I send one back on Monday, and it gets there on tuesday(new release day) and they send me the new release. I have almost 200 movies in my que, and I am always looking for more.

we've been using it for almost 2 years now I think. The problem we have is we've seen almost everything and we aren't watching many movies any more. We've been renting kid movies for our son wich he enjoys. The other thing with NF is you can rent TV series, documentaries, or anything else they put on DVD (except **** J/k). If it's TV/movie related and it's out on DVD Netflix most likely has it.

I use it but I get scratched and cracked DVDs all the time. They replace them quickly but it is frustrating to set aside time to finally watch a movie, kids are in bed and beer is cold only to find out it is unplayable. Even worse is when you get most of the way thru the movie and it skips back to the beginning. Arrrghhhh!
I always run them through my disc cleaner before I even watch them now.

Yeah, I do have some issues with not perfect disks. My DVD player is finicky about the DVD's it gets. I have a little poloroid player and my computer DVD both play just about any movie you throw in it unless it's REALLY scuffed up. Usually I clean the DVD with some lense cleaner and it works fine after that. I've only had 2 broken and less than a hand count of badly scratched disks.

I have had 2 broken and 1 to scratched up...netflix is a good bargain. Keeps me from the video stores

Netflix definitely beats Blockbuster, etc. I have been a member for almost a year now. I get two movies at a time and that is plenty for me. The hard part is keeping the que filled with interesting movies after you have seen so many. I rarely go out to the movies anymore because I always have a movie at home that I haven't seen.

The downside is that having all of those movies all of the time somewhat encourages you to improve your home theater.

I will also say that I have never received a damaged movie in the time that I have been with Netflix. I love the fact that I don't have to leave my front door to get a movie or send it back!
