Hey Raoul -

Not to hijack this thread, but last night (in some post, i don't remember which thread it was as I was recovering from something . . . actually I don't remember what I was recovering from, it was that bad) you mentioned your daughter when she lived at home on "your dime", and then later you mentioned that she was now an adult, out in the real world, and living on "her nickel".

I was just curious, why is it that you have the dime metaphor and she gets the nickel? Is it an inflation thing?

His income was/is much more than hers and he spent more on her than she spends on herself. With my daughter, it was the reverse as I am very conservative. She was on my nickel and is now on her dime.
