Panhandling breaks through to the web: Even the unemployed make a living on the internet
Is this once industrial economy turned service based economy changing to a nothing based economy? A 24 year old unemployed man launches a website to allow him to live unemployed for the rest of his life. By accepting donations in exchange for cheap advertising Michael Mansueto hopes to never have to get a job again.
A 24 year old unemployed man from Linwood New Jersey has set one goal in his life, to live it unemployed, yet burden free.
Michael Mansueto launched unemployedloser.com after he realized that if he doesn't come up with some cash shortly, he will be forced to look for a job.
The site features a daily journal from Mike, which includes tips on how to live unemployed, as well as a means to purchase links on the site itself. Anyone can buy a link for a minimum of 50 cents. The more money an advertiser spends, the higher up on the page their link will be displayed.
"Yes, I am unemployed," Mike said, "but I figure if I'm going to be unemployed and a loser, I might as well try and become an unemployed winner," Mike continued. "I had always asked myself the age old question, how can I become a millionaire without doing any work at all? Then I said, 'the internet!'"
If he succeeds, Mike will reach his goal of $1,000,000 in link sales before he runs out of spending money. Don't get too concerned though, Mike is an expert at spending as few dollars as possible. "I went on a seven week, cross country trip to California last Spring. My family and friends were amazed that in those seven weeks I only spent $1300.00, of which $600.00 was for gasoline.
The site has made just over $625 in the three days since it's launch. "I have to say, I did not think it would be such a success so early in the game," Mike exclaimed.

Seems if he is running a website then he is no longer unemployed... He is self-employed and will be taxed accordingly.
What a joke our society has become, I wish I were born about 50yrs ago, when people were real, and life was actually challenging... When it was important to be respectful, and to know how to read and write properly. When having a family and getting married meant more than just a tax break... What the hell is happening to America????
Why are cell-phones more important than books, and why are 11yr children having sex in school... Oh well, it will do no good for me to rant, so I shall end it.
