Earlier today I had a thread yanked that was a week old talking about wanting an xlt grille insert. It had been pretty popular and several people seemed to either be wanting to get rid of spare grilles or sell their grille to get a new grille. Others were looking to exchange grilles with each other. At the time I didn't realize the thread was in violation but was later informed.
I went ahead and posted what I was looking for in the classifieds as specified by the forum rules.
Tonight, looking through the 04-06 forum I see several other threads that have the same purpose as my yanked thread, and they are getting many responses.
My classified ad has not gotten one response.
I am not a vendor nor do I solicit for one. I am also not looking to make money off this forum.
Is there any possibility for a forum that promotes members trading parts, giving parts to each other for shipping costs only, or selling no longer needed parts they have replaced to each other? It would make sense that people would stop posting these types of threads in the wrong forums and have one place to discuss such things.
Anyhow, just an observation and suggestion.

Steve most likely won't see it here. Good luck, Steve is fairly set in his ways about how he runs this site and is somewhat less than enthusiastic about suggestions for major changes. He's addressed the classifieds issue hundreds of times and may be somewhat gruff if forced to explain it yet again.
