go here and see if there is a new driver that you can download and install.

Me too Zap...

I have a G3 in the store room that I use to use for graphic work. Only thing installed on it is Photo Shop, Quark, Pagemaker, & Illustrator. I was given a PC that was faster, just needed a new processor. So I have been using it for the last year. But I mis my Mac. But for what it would cost to bring it up to par, I could buy a G5! So someday I will. Getting a new laptop first, thinking it's going to be the Titanium!

Edited to add:
Although the Alienware, Area 51, Is in the strong running for a pc version.

Man with these threads tonight I realize just how poor I am... I want one of each damn it!

Well, first, they don't use Titanium in the powerbooks anymore, it's aluminum . . . that said, don't get a powerbook any time soon. The powerbook will be the first to get the intel chips. As they are presently they run hot and are too slow (still using a G4 chip) . . . so if you were in the market for one soon . . . hold off.

G3 . . . beyond slow . . . way beyond slow . . . redefines slow . . . vs your windows machine, especially if it's running 2000 or xp, you are better off. BUT . . . G5 and soon to be intel PowerMacs . . . none better.

Phht, I can download twice that much in one night. Newsgroups rock for stuff like that.

What kind of video card does he have? I think I missed that somewhere, and, I didn't see anyone mention for him to change his refresh rates when in safe mode. Maybe I missed that too.
