D-I-Y Bed Liner
D-I-Y Bed Liner
Hey, well i've been researching Rhino Liner. Its something i really want, but i just cant see A. Driving 2 hours to the nearest dealer to have it installed and B. Paying their outrageous prices.
There are some local bed liners, such as fleet farms. They are basicaly the same thing as Rhino Liner, A thick ruber substance that you apply w/ a brush to your bed, anywhere from 1/8" thick all the way to 1" thick ( i'm assuming you could do thicker but thats just what it says).
I just read somewhere that those types of liners might fade over time, chip, chalk (w/e that is) or crack under extreme conditions..
Have any of you had any expierence with these products?
And any tips on going about this?
Thank you
David

Here you go, buddy. Check back through the bedliner forum and I'm sure you can find dozens of opinions on the roll-on bedliners.

I did it, and don't like it. Herculiner went on way too thin, and areas are peeling off. It's been on for about 5.5 years. After about a year (maybe less) I got tired of looking at it, and I bought a mat to put in the bed.
Don't waste your time and money - and it takes a lot of time to prep the bed and roll it on. Spend the extra money up front for Rhinoliner or LineX and you'll be much happier.
