I doubt any of those will be sold and they will get insurance money for them.

I'm trying to think of where that dealership is because right now I can only think of three Ford Dealerships that I know for sure where they are at (Lamarque, Veterans, and Bohn). I saw helicopter videos of the dodge dealership that's on Veterans right by my house and they had water up to the edge of the hood on some of the trucks.

Does anyone know what salvage yards are getting a bulk of the vehicles? I've heard estimates of 200,000+ vehicles in the NO area are totalled, but I can't find any websites advertising the salvage yet.

Give it some time... The boats haven't hit the market yet either. You know how insurance companies like to drag thier feet.

The one FEMA adjuster we talked to who is staying at our Hotel said the insurance companies are going to start trying to back out of paying for the damages anyway they can. Said some people might not see money for a year.

Yea I kind of seen that coming... I had to search hard years ago to find some one to write my flood insurance because my homeowners company won't cover flood. Most people dont realize that and assume that thier property damage policy will cover it. But most don't you have to buy the extra some where else. I'd say it would have been harder to get flood insurance in N.O. and next to impossiable from now on.

I'm figuring it will probaby be around maybe November before we start to see some of the salvage vessels hit the brokers. Then they will filter through for a year to a year and a half or so. They just finally 2 month ago, quit coming throu from (Francis??) of last year. I think that was the major one last year anyway?.?.
